Gibson Pond Dam
Gibson Pond Dam, a significant hazard dam, washed out in 2015 flooding in Lexington, SC. C7ÓéÀÖ¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ rebuilt the dam using Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) and conventional reinforced concrete and constructed a new 135 LF ogee spillway with prefabricated truss pedestrian bridge to span the dam. Construction also included two 12â€� x 48â€� fixed fishing piers; demolition and clean-up of flood debris; preparation of the rock foundation; concrete encased, ductile-iron, low-level outlets; stamped and stained, reinforced-concrete parapet; control of water; removal of existing gas line; hand railing; and restoration of disturbed areas. C7ÓéÀÖ¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ had the option to use Roller Compacted Concrete or Conventional Mass Concrete for the stepped spillway section.
